Where a physiotherapy clinic loses time
01
The phone rings during treatment
You have a patient on the table when the next one calls to book a first visit. You call back between two patients, and sometimes they have already booked elsewhere.
02
The first visit doesn't fit
A first visit takes 60 minutes and a follow-up 30. When times are booked by hand, the first visit ends up in a half-hour gap and the rest of the day runs late.
03
The follow-up never gets booked
The plan depends on the patient coming back in two weeks. They were going to get in touch and forgot, and when they call again it's a month later.
Bookable staff
Patients book their physiotherapist, or the first available
Each physiotherapist has their working hours and the visits they take. You set up first visits and follow-ups separately, each with its own length and price. For each visit you decide whether patients pick a physiotherapist, get whoever is free, or choose either.
- Only the chosen physiotherapist's times
- First visit and follow-up with their own length
- Own price per physiotherapist and visit

The day at the clinic
The whole clinic's day in one list
The day's list shows every visit with the patient, the physiotherapist and payment status. Physiotherapists add their own time off, whole days or a few hours, which takes their times off your website. Time between visits leaves room to write up the notes.
- Today's visits with payment status
- Working hours that repeat every week
- Time off removes the physiotherapist's times

Payment and reminders
Paid at booking, reminded the day before
Patients pay by Swish or card when they book, and the money goes to your own Stripe account. A reminder goes out by email or text before the visit. After a follow-up, the patient can get a link that books the next follow-up, with the same physiotherapist if the patient chose them. Companies paying for their employees' treatment can be invoiced.
- Swish and card through your Stripe account
- A link to book the next follow-up
- Invoices for companies

Common questions
Is Denira a patient record system?
No. Denira handles booking and payment. Records belong in your record system, and so does the patient's health information, not the comment field at booking.
Does Denira handle the free-care card and the high-cost ceiling?
No. Denira doesn't accept the free-care card (frikort), doesn't count visits towards the high-cost ceiling for patient fees and doesn't bill the region. Patients pay the full price by Swish or card when they book.
Can patients with a referral under the region's agreement book?
Not through Denira. It doesn't handle patient fees or reporting to the region. Book those patients in the system you already use and record those hours as unavailability for the physiotherapist in Denira, so nobody else can book them on your website.
Can first visits and follow-ups have different lengths and prices?
Yes. Set them up separately, for example a 60-minute first visit and a 30-minute follow-up, each with its own price. A physiotherapist who charges more sets their own price on each visit.
Can patients cancel by themselves?
Yes, if the patient bought cancellation protection when booking and it is before the limit you set, such as 24 hours. Otherwise the patient gets in touch, and you cancel or move the appointment.
Does it work for naprapaths and chiropractors?
Yes, on the same terms. Denira suits practices where the patient books a time with one practitioner and pays for themselves.
