Nobody brought a licence

Two guests are standing by the snowmobiles at nine, and neither has a driving licence with them. The requirement was in an email they never read.

Three snowmobiles are waiting for a new drive belt, but the afternoon safari is sold as if all twelve were free. You find out when the guests are already in their overalls.

The conference wants twenty

A company at a conference in the village wants twenty snowmobiles on a Thursday and to pay by invoice. The booking, the invoice and the reminder end up in three different programs.

The morning before the start

Guides see the machines, guests and comments

The day's list shows every safari with its snowmobiles, extras and comments, so the guide can see who has said they will drive. If it's too cold in the morning, you text everyone on the safari about a later start.

Payment

Twenty snowmobiles on one invoice to the company

Private guests pay by Swish or card when they book, and the money goes to your own Stripe account. Conference groups are invoiced from Denira, and the company pays on a page online with reminders if it's late.

Common questions

Can we require the driver to hold a licence?

The booking doesn't ask about a licence, and guests can't upload one. Put the requirement in your booking terms, which guests see when they pay, ask for the driver's name in the comment and check the licence at the start.

Can we take a deposit against damage to the snowmobile?

No. The booking takes no deposit and puts no hold on the card. Put the excess in your booking terms, and if something happens you charge on site or send a payment link.

Are the helmet and overalls included in the price?

That's up to you. If they're included, say so in the description. If you want to charge, add them as extras with a number, so you never sell more overalls than you have. Guests write their size in the comment.

What happens when a snowmobile breaks down mid-season?

You block it for a day or a period. The booking on your website then counts one snowmobile fewer on every safari until you lift the block.

Can the driver and the passenger pay different prices?

The price is per snowmobile, so one for two costs the same whoever drives. If you want to charge more for a snowmobile of one's own, set it up as a separate choice with its own price.
