Groups by email

A party of fourteen wants its own tasting on a Friday. The date, numbers and cheese go back and forth in a long email thread before anything is in the calendar.

Empty chairs

Guests who booked by phone don't turn up to Saturday's tasting. The chairs stay empty and the bottles are already open.

Two VAT rates

The tasting and the cheese plate can carry different VAT. When it's all sold as one price, someone has to split it afterwards.

Each tasting has its own seats and cheese plates

You set the number of seats for each tasting and add extras like a cheese plate or charcuterie, with a limit if supply is short. Guests choose a time and extras in the same booking and pay straight away.

The day's list shows every tasting with its guests, add-ons and comments, such as someone who doesn't eat cheese. You choose who hosts each tasting and close an evening when the room is needed for something else.

Payment and invoices

Companies get an invoice, everyone else pays on booking

Guests at your open tastings pay by Swish or card, and the money goes to your own Stripe account. Company tastings are invoiced from Denira once the evening is over, with a page where they can pay and reminders.

Common questions

Can the tasting and the cheese plate have different VAT?

Yes. You set the VAT rate per experience and per add-on, for example 25% on the tasting and 12% on the cheese plate. Which rate applies to your tastings is something to settle with your accountant.

Can Denira check that guests are old enough?

No. The booking doesn't ask for age. Put the age limit in your booking terms, which guests see when they pay, and check ID on site.

How do we charge a company after the tasting?

The booking is entered with a price to be set later, and once the evening is over you send an invoice from Denira. The company gets it as a PDF by email with a page where they can pay, and you can send reminders.

Can a group book a whole tasting for itself?

Yes. A private tasting has one fixed price for the whole time, so no other guests can book the same slot. The group can add extras just as in an ordinary booking.

Can Friday and Saturday evenings cost more?

Yes. You can set different prices for certain weekdays, times of day or seasons.
